The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario is seeking a dynamic, visionary and collaborative leader who has demonstrated their exemplary commitment and dedication to mission and ministry of Catholic Education. The effective date of appointment will be July 1, 2025.
Reporting to the elected board seven (7) Trustees, the Director will play a crucial role in advancing CDSBEO’s vision, mission, new 2025-2030 multi-year strategic plan, and the ministry of Catholic Education while promoting equity, student achievement and well-being. As per the Education Act, the Director also serves as the Secretary to the Board.
The successful candidate will be an inspiring Catholic leader who demonstrates a strong commitment to Gospel values, the teachings of Christ and the Catholic Church. They will bring an outstanding record of achievement, including depth and breadth of experience and credentials, with the ability to lead a complex Catholic school board in Ontario. They will have the ability to effectively communicate at all levels to continue to build upon strong internal and external relationships and partnerships, while utilizing an open, engaging and highly collaborative style of leadership.

The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO) serves eight (8) counties in the region including Lanark, Leeds, Grenville, Dundas, Stormont, Glengarry, Prescott and Russell Counties. The Board’s jurisdiction covers a large area of over 12,000 square kilometers, and includes 39 elementary and 10 secondary schools, in addition to adult and alternative education programs. The Board provides Catholic education to more than 13,000 students and employs approximately 1,500 teachers and support staff.
