Physician-In-Chief, Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (0.3 FTE)

Position

Description

You will join Ontario Shores at a time when it has fully embraced an ambitious vision that is focused on recovery, hope and inspiration through discovery.  With a focus on transforming the patient experience and quality of care, you will provide influential leadership that encourages physician engagement, inter-professional collaboration, successful clinical outcomes, and scholarly excellence.  In a role that crosses all aspects of the care continuum, you will work collaboratively with your community and regional counterparts to collectively advance the primacy of partnership, ensuring better coordination across care, consistent with Ontario Health’s priorities.  In addition, your leadership will contribute to building a culture that embraces partnerships and continues to develop academic relationships that ensure that research, practice, and clinical outcomes are setting standards for care across the region.  The Physician-In-Chief is a 0.3 FTE commitment, with the balance of time focusing on clinical care and/or research.

You will play a key senior leadership role with responsibilities that include:

• Promoting a culture that supports quality, performance, and innovation
• Enhancing service delivery by fostering physician engagement, inter-professional practice, and team-based care
• Advancing regional partnerships that promote effective systems of care and facilitate transitions with the community and beyond
• Partnering with a range of mental health partners across the Province to look at collaborative models of care
• Fostering and encouraging the growth of clinical, education and research initiatives

Influencing the direction for Mental Health and Addictions across the health system

Experience Required

An experienced, inclusive, and visionary leader with credentials in both medical leadership and clinical practice, you have had significant leadership contributions that have helped foster values of collaborative practice and clinical excellence.
